His name is Yue Minjun. He’s even collaborated with Kaws on a vinyl toy.

I’ve seen this artist before. He was featured on “designyoutrust.com”, but that site seems to not be working correctly.
I cannot seem to dig him up through Google, but the paintings I’ve seen are all like this: super-happy Chinese men and reflecting on the fakeness of living in China these days.
